The ballerina is a die
cut from Sizzix, on card printed with designs from my clip art.

Hello Kitty

Hello Kitty
This card was made with a Velvet Paper Shop diecut in white velvet paper, mounted on a background of blue gingham, printed from clip art.
I have made another in pink, just right for little girl's birthdays.
The surfer dude is a new card topper for boys of any age, not sure how to finish this card.
The poodle card, is again made from a Velvet Paper Shop diecut in white velvet paper. It makes a lovely theme for older girls. It is a large letter card because I have added a hand tied bow, which makes the envelope thicker than 5mm.

Thes toppers and many more are available fron The Velvet Paper Shop on eBay, or http://www.fificraft.co.uk/

The Wedding

Now it's all over I can let you in on the secret. My son got married on April 15th and I made the favor boxes and table names. The butterflies were die cut from gold buckram laminated to white card, embelished with a crystal like those on the bride's dress and the groom's waiscoat.
The boxes took longer.I first printed a monogram, their names and the date onto the buckram which had been cut to size. I then stuck it onto 250 gsm card and die cut the box shape. Each stage had to be dried overnight to avoid smudging the printing. The box was stuck  together in 2 stages using both PVA glue and double sided tape and held together with masking tape.
The box was a Sizzix large pillow box die which I had marked up with tape so that I would get the printing in the right place. I had to print scrap paper and cut it to get the marking on the die correct.

Christmas cards

I have been hard at work on my Christmas cards using my new dies. I am pleased with my Merry Christmas die and have put some die cuts on ebay to share with everyone It works well in all sorts of materials but the best is Bling which is a foil paper. I have made them self adhesive for easy sticking.
Also new in The Velvet Paper Shop on eBay is a new butterfly with  velvet paper outline and a white infill which can be coloured with felt tips to stunning effect.
